To comment about music you find inappropriate or offensive:

• Contact the retailer selling the recorded music or music video.
• Contact the producers of the music product.
  

To comment about music broadcast on the radio:

• Contact the radio station responsible for airing the music in question.
• If you don’t receive a satisfactory reply, send a letter of complaint to the Canadian Broadcast Standards Council, using the complaint form on its Web site.
• You can also send a copy of your letter to the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC), using the complaint form on its Web site.
  

To comment about music videos seen on television:

• contact the channel in question (such as MTV, MuchMusic, etc.). If you don’t receive a satisfactory reply, send a letter of complaint to the Canadian Broadcast Standards Council, using the complaint form on its Web site.
  

If the music you are commenting about promotes hatred towards an individual or group, you should also contact an advocacy organization such as:

• Equality for Gays and Lesbians Everywhere (EGALE)
  
• Canadian Civil Liberties Association
  
• Artists Against Racism
  
• B’nai Brith Canada
